As we enjoy our Christmas Day in our various ways, one theme that often comes to the fore is our feeling of togetherness... or lack thereof... with friends and family. Today's prompt: Write a 100-word drabble on your feelings towards friends and family on this holiday.

Thursday - Family and Friends

Looking at the people seated around the dinner table, hearing bits and pieces of conversations between new acquaintances and longtime friends, Will can't help smiling. He always loves bringing people together, and seeing his brother finally meet his friends and vice versa, not to mention introducing other friends to each other, makes him happy. Everyone is loving all the food and the wine. He spent a lot of time cooking for the people he loves. Of course things would be the most perfect if Evan could be with them, but he isn't going to linger on that thought, not today.
