A mystery meme

I must admit, I'm new to this concept of the 'meme' - we don't have them where I'm from. So apologies if this isn't funny or anything, but this is me preparing for a local broadcast of Captain Mystery's Strange Theater.

As Captain Mystery, I have to maintain an air of secrecy about my real life. Not to mention, we all have our secrets that we don't exactly want to let out into our public lives.

It's a little difficult to 'stay mysterious' in the midst of a Russian zombie invasion, however. There's more of the real Quen slipping through than I am entirely comfortable with. But well, what can be done?

Captain Mystery has to defend his town.

Heavy, though a bit awkwardly top-heavy.

How are things with you and the jerk Chester?

Mgh. Not pleasant. You'd think being cooped up in town and not having to worry about his business trips would make him more attentive and relaxed, but instead he's thrown all his energy into trying to find new ways to make himself appear important, now that his position has him rubbing elbows with the well-to-do in town. If we weren't in the middle of a crisis, I'd swear he's thinking of running for political office someday.

You know what they say - give a little man a little bit of power, and he makes an awfully big fuss.

Ideally at least he'll keep out of your hair and your business if he's busy puffing around town.

There's that. But he's not even given the pretense of fondness lately... and he hasn't been coming home some nights. I don't know whether I should be worried he might be doing something dangerous or angry that he might be doing stupid. Probably the latter.
